Kept

“It seems essential, in relationships and all tasks, that we concentrate only on what is most significant and important” – Soren Kierkegaard

Dear readers: Pebbles In The Pond is officially one month old. As you may recall from my first post, I started this blog as a quite-the-cliche New Years’ resolution. I don’t like to toot my own horn (or, rather, I don’t like to say “I like to toot my own horn”), but I’m proud to say I’ve kept my resolution religiously. In quite the un-cliche fashion, I might add. Statistically, I should’ve quit by now. Just saying.

But still here we are – me writing and you reading – and hopefully both of us with equal levels of enthusiam. Since this will be the last post for January, I’d like to take the chance to hit ya’ll with some numbers:

  • 353 – Number of times you guys have checked out my blog.
  • 184 – How many of you guys have visited the site.
  • 71 – Number of views for “Moment In The Morning”, making it the most-viewed post.
  • 21 – Number of comments. I dig the feedback, so please keep it coming!
  • 8 – Number of different countries this blog has been viewed from. Hello Australia, UK, France, Malaysia, Spain, Nigeria, and India. Nice to have you!
  • 6 –  Number of “Official Followers” of Pebbles In The Pond.

Personally, I’m pretty tickled with the response I’ve gotten so far. By the way, if you’re not sure how to obtain the coveted, shiny status as “Official Follower”, it’s actually pretty easy. Just click the “Subscribe” button on this page and drop in your email address. Don’t worry, I won’t blow up your inbox with spammy chain-emails or any such tasteless things. You’ll only get a email notification whenever there’s a new post from yours truly.

While we’re on this subject, I want to say how much I appreciate all the “Likes” and comments from everyone. It’s great to know you guys are reading and gleaning something positive out of my creative endeavors. And I want to say a very sincere “Thank You” to those of you who’ve shared any of my blog posts. That really means a lot to me, as it essentially says that you find it worth your while to put your name as an endorsement for something that I wrote. That’s an incredible level of commitment, and I’m both flattered and humbled. By sharing, you increase my potential audience by however big your Friends List is. That’s a huge deal, so thank you. My aim is to continue to produce things worth sharing with others.

You may have noticed the site looks a little different…okay, a lot different. I put in some hours changing things around, making stuff more accessible. The old set-up kept all the buttons and menus tucked away, this one brings them out in the open. Hopefully not too cluttered, though. Let me know what you think.

Since this was more of an administrative post (I know…Borrriinnng), I’m going to cut it a little short. I’ve got a couple of ideas cooking for future entries, so be on the lookout for those. Also, if you have any suggestions or requests for things you’d like to see more of on Pebbles In The Pond, by all means please share them in the comments!

Thanks for joining me for this mini-celebration of a resolution kept, and once again, thank you for all your support.
